## Examples

#### Authentication credentials

The examples below assume your InfluxDB **host**, **organization**, and **token** are provided by either the [active `influx` CLI configuration](/influxdb/cloud/reference/cli/influx/#provide-required-authentication-credentials) or by environment variables (`INFLUX_HOST`, `INFLUX_ORG`, and `INFLUX_TOKEN`). If you do not have a CLI configuration set up or the environment variables set, include these required credentials for each command with the following flags:

-   `--host`: [InfluxDB host](/influxdb/cloud/reference/urls/)
- `-o, --org` or `--org-id`: InfluxDB organization name or ID
-   `-t, --token`: InfluxDB API token

- [Export resources both associated and not associated with a stack](#export-resources-both-associated-and-not-associated-with-a-stack)

##### Export buckets by ID

```sh
influx export --buckets 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1,0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo2
```

##### Export buckets, labels, and dashboards by ID

```sh
influx export \
  --buckets 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1,0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo2 \
  --labels o0x0oox0Xxoxx001,o0x0oox0Xxoxx002 \
  --dashboards 0XxXooXoo0xooXo0X1,0XxXooXoo0xooXo0X2
```

##### Export buckets, labels, and dashboards by name

```sh
influx export \
  --bucket-names bucket1,bucket2,bucket3 \
  --label-names label1,label2,label3 \
  --dashboard-names dashboard1,dashboard2,dashboard3
```

##### Export all resources associated with a stack

```sh
influx export --stack-id 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1
```

##### Export resources both associated and not associated with a stack

```sh
influx export \
  --stack-id 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1 \
  --buckets o0x0oox0Xxoxx001,0XxXooXoo0xooXo0X2 \
  --dashboard-names bucket1
```
