While this command is included in the influx CLI , this functionality is not available in InfluxDB Cloud Serverless organizations powered by the InfluxDB v3 storage engine.

Examples

Authentication credentials

The examples below assume your InfluxDB host, organization, and token are provided by either the active influx CLI configuration or by environment variables (INFLUX_HOST, INFLUX_ORG, and INFLUX_TOKEN). If you do not have a CLI configuration set up or the environment variables set, include these required credentials for each command with the following flags:

  • --host: InfluxDB host
  • -o, --org or --org-id: InfluxDB organization name or ID
  • -t, --token: InfluxDB API token
Export buckets by ID
influx export --buckets 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1,0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo2
Export buckets, labels, and dashboards by ID
influx export \
  --buckets 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1,0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo2 \
  --labels o0x0oox0Xxoxx001,o0x0oox0Xxoxx002 \
  --dashboards 0XxXooXoo0xooXo0X1,0XxXooXoo0xooXo0X2
Export buckets, labels, and dashboards by name
influx export \
  --bucket-names bucket1,bucket2,bucket3 \
  --label-names label1,label2,label3 \
  --dashboard-names dashboard1,dashboard2,dashboard3
Export all resources associated with a stack
influx export --stack-id 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1
Export resources both associated and not associated with a stack
influx export \
  --stack-id 0Xx0oox00XXoxxoo1 \
