bitwise.urshift() function

bitwise.urshift() is experimental and subject to change at any time.

bitwise.urshift() shifts the bits in a right by b bits. Both a and b are unsigned integers.

Deprecated

Experimental bitwise.urshift is deprecated in favor of bitwise.urshift.

Function type signature
(a: uint, b: uint) => uint
  • Copy
  • Fill window

For more information, see Function type signatures.

Parameters

a

(Required) Left hand operand.

b

(Required) Number of bits to shift.

Examples

Shift bits right in an unsigned integer

import "experimental/bitwise"

bitwise.urshift(a: uint(v: 1234), b: uint(v: 2))// Returns 308 (uint)
  • Copy
  • Fill window

Shift bits right in unsigned integers in a stream of tables

import "experimental/bitwise"
import "sampledata"

sampledata.uint()
    |> map(fn: (r) => ({r with _value: bitwise.urshift(a: r._value, b: uint(v: 3))}))
  • Copy
  • Fill window

InfluxDB 3 Core is an open source, high-speed, recent-data engine that collects and processes data in real-time and persists it to local disk or object storage. InfluxDB 3 Enterprise builds on Core’s foundation, adding high availability, read replicas, enhanced security, and data compaction for faster queries and optimized storage. A free tier of InfluxDB 3 Enterprise is available for non-commercial at-home or hobbyist use.
