QuickStart installation

The QuickStart installation process is designed for users looking to quickly get up and running with InfluxDB Enterprise and for users who are looking to evaluate the product.

The QuickStart installation process is not designed for use in a production environment. Follow the instructions outlined in the Production installation section if you wish to use InfluxDB Enterprise in a production environment. Please note that if you install InfluxDB Enterprise with the QuickStart Installation process you will need to reinstall InfluxDB Enterprise with the Production Installation process before using the product in a production environment.

QuickStart installation

Follow the links below to get up and running with InfluxDB Enterprise.

Step 1 - Installing an InfluxDB Enterprise cluster

InfluxDB Enterprise offers highly scalable clusters on your infrastructure and a management UI for working with clusters. The QuickStart Installation process will get you up and running with your InfluxDB Enterprise cluster. The QuickStart installation process is not designed for use in a production environment. Follow the instructions outlined in the Production installation section if you wish to use InfluxDB Enterprise in a production environment. Please note that if you install InfluxDB Enterprise with the QuickStart Installation process you will need to reinstall InfluxDB Enterprise with the Production Installation process before using the product in a production environment.

Step 2 - Installing Chronograf

Now that you’ve installed the meta nodes and data nodes, you are ready to install Chronograf to provide you with a user interface to access the InfluxDB Enterprise instance. Installing Chronograf

Linux Package Signing Key Rotation
